I was born in Changsha, a city in the Southern central region of China. Like most Changsha guys, I love spicy food. Previously I might have "an iron stomach" (quote from Dan Liebler, my postdoc adviser). In the past two years,
it seems that my 'iron stomach' is getting 'rusty', though I still can live without chilli pepper. I love watching, not playing, football games. Bayern Munich is my only favorite football club. My idol is Oliver Kahn, the former
goalkeeper of FCB.

Ling received her Ph.D. in Microbiology at Shanghai Jiaotong University under the guidance of Prof. Jun Xu.
She joined my Lab as a postdoc in 2016. Since then, she has been working on mapping protein S-sulfenylation (-SOH) and S-sulfinylation (-SO2H) in various model organisms using state-of-the-art chemoproteomic technology. Outside
the Lab, she enjoys a couple of things, including reading and photography.
